Good Filet Mignon Aged meat is good but sometimes there is to much fat. Service can be slow to start but overall excellent
Overall 4 stars for my dining experience with a group of folks who attended a recent convention nearby. Why just 4 and not 5 stars? I felt the Caesar salad could have been better in quality and appearance. Lettuce was not crisp and drenched in dressing and when asked during my order if it came with anchovies I wad told no however they could provide them which they did as a side dish but when presented they were wet in their own oil and not dry anchovies where other higher end steakhouses would have added that on top of this type of salad. Service was great overall and my 16 oz ribeye was flavorful and cooked medium rare as I requested. Apple tart was also very good. Small bar as you enter to the left of the reception area.
We had the most amazing dinner at 555 to celebrate my fiancés birthday! The food, ambience, and customer service was wonderful! We started with the jumbo crab cake, which was fresh and 95% crab with 5% delicious seasonings. We also had the goat cheese which was simple but delicious the roasted garlic was amazing! We had the 60 day dry aged bone in ribeye, with Frys, broccolini, and mushrooms. We also added the three sauces: chimichurri, brandy peppercorn and bearnaise. All were delicious but the brandy peppercorn was amazing!! The cocktails and dessert were also great especially the apple tart our waiter Gilberto recommended. Finally the staff especially our waiter Gilberto were phenomenal we will definitely be back to 555!!! Thank you for making our evening so special.
I went Last Friday and I had such great service from Daniel the bus boy he was always attentive and always asking if we are good if we need anything definitely coming back thank you once again Daniel !!!!
We have a quarterly event in one of the private rooms. Working with Megan is such a treat and she makes sure everything is taken care of before and during the event. The food is amazing, not only the steaks, but also the Chilean Sea Bass and Chicken. Everyone always finds a delicious meal along with fantastic appetizers, soups and salads and desserts. Also, a great wine selection. Finally, the room is always super comfortable and the staff which are often folks that have been there for a very long time are amazing. You can tell it is a well run restaurant. We have been here for 5 years and we plan to continue for as many years as we can.
I cannot say enough great things about the food and service here! We decided today to take a coworker to lunch for her birthday and was not disappointed at all. I decided to get the 30 day aged ribeye, boy was I impressed! The restaurant is beautiful we sat outside and it was a great day couldn't have chose a better place. Will definitely be coming back.
Had a lovely Mother's Day brunch at 555 East Steakhouse. With a large menu and fresh cut steaks to choose from, there's something for everyone on their menu! Although not pictured, their baked goat cheese was a great way to start and perfect for four people to share. We followed them up with not one but two rounds of oysters which were divine with their habanero mignonette. The rack of lamb I had was perfectly cooked, however I was disappointed they don't make a mint jelly to accompany them. Definitely recommend 555 for its lovely ambiance, efficient service, and great tastes all around the table!
I've been here twice now and both times received exemplary service and food. The staff is attentive, funny, knowledgeable, and makes you feel like you're their only client. The food is perfect. Truly. Perfect. Five stars, all night all day.
I came here for a friend's birthday and it was amazing! There was little to no parking in the front of the restaurant so I recommend getting valet. The valet service was very quick. You'll notice that they run to get your car once you are ready to leave. The first thing I noticed was the service of 555 East Steakhouse. Everyone greeted you as you passed by which made an amazing atmosphere. Everyone was so friendly and inviting. The bread is to die for. It's so warm and fluffy. I had to tell the waiter to take the bread away from me otherwise I was going to make the bread my entire meal! We ordered Freshly Shucked Oysters on the Half Shell to share. 10/10 would recommended. I wish we ordered another round. We ordered the asparagus as a vegetable to share. The asparagus were HUGE and definitely meant to share around the table. I ordered the Hand-Cut Filet Mignon 8 oz medium rare Capella Style (Mushrooms and Onions). It was delicious! After you took a bite it would immediately melt in your mouth. We ordered three different sauces to share so it was amazing to sample the different flavors. Even though the filet mignon was 8 oz, I was pleasantly full. For dessert, we had the Chocolate Soufflé and the crème brûlée. Both dishes were absolutely yummy. We couldn't finish all of it because of how filling it was! Overall I would come to 555 East Steakhouse again.
If I am ranking against other steakhouses then this is a good 4 stars. You'll definitely get a great piece of meat here. The crab cake was pretty good and thick, although you'll only get 1 for $17. It's a long standing establishment in Long Beach. I heard a lot of hype about it and I think my expectations were different, is what I'll say. I like a steakhouse that is a bit more modern in decor but I can appreciate the history and vibe of 555 also. Be prepared for something on the same vibe as House of Prime Rib in SF in terms of ambience. Dark inside with low lighting. White table cloth. Lots of wood and green leather booths to sit in. It's the type of place where lawyers, business people and mostly men, dressed in white collared shirts with sweaters and suits frequent. I got the surf and turf ($82) and the lobster was amazing and my fillet mignon perfectly cooked to my liking, medium rare. This was an excellent meal and I would definitely recommend 555 for a celebratory meal, a romantic dinner date, or a girl's night out.
